So I am looking as the title shows using ICPRG ME and ALTERED STATE for some solo TTRPG action. Issue I am running into is that Altered State seems to be a little older than ME.
So my ask would be what would be the easiest way to reconcile the differences between the two and still use them both at the table with ME for solo play?
Any thoughts or input would be helpful cause I am at a loss. I could also be overthinking this whole thing also, I tend to do that from time to time.
It you are looking to run a cyberpunk style game, then create characters in Altered State, as it uses a very unique, specific character creation method. From there, run like any normal ICRPG game. For milestones, loot, etc., then anything in the ICRPG universe is fair game for any class or type.
Beyond that advice, I would be curious to know if there are any other pieces from ME you are desirous of incorporating into an AS game. I don’t think you’ll have much issue bolting anything on, as both work the exact same under the hood: roll a d20, add a modifier, compare to a target number.
Thanks Alex for taking the time to get back to me. And it is as I figured i was way overthinking what needed to be done. Yeah i think it was just specific character creation from AS that threw me for a loop.
