ICRPG Traits instead of Stats

Hey yall. Ive been trying to create a mix of ICRPG and fate via ICRPG mechanics and fates traits. The idea initially was give the PCs 4 traits starting out and the point spread of 8. The traits were of the categories: Skill, ability(unique to the pc), heritage, companion/crew, personality, unique item. Still working on more to help make more types of characters. Any advice for a game like this?
