As I promised to do on the Discord server, I’ll repost some of the projects I worked on and shared there in this new forum.
The most recent of them was What You Fight For, a VDS hack for playing Mouse Guard.
Though I like the system for Mouse Guard, it doesn’t really lend itself to “get to the table and start playing” situations. Its character creation is deep and lengthy, and it has a lot of moving parts that become hard to explain to players on the fly.
By using VDS as a base, I tried to streamline what I could while losing as little of the tone as I could in the process. I tried out a different way of playing through Conflicts, based on one of the early drafts of VDS in which the initiative system was pendulum-like; Statted out the whole list of Adversaries from the original game; and set out some guidelines and advice for the Chronicler.
